and is the first passageway station of Baku Metro.  .
The first platform was commissioned in 1993. After the launch of the second - eastern platform - in 2008, a two-way shuttle was put in place in the "Jafar Jabbarli-Khatai" route. Both tracks of the station are set apart from each other by "28 May" station.
Trains move only to “Khatai” station from here. According to the existing development plan, the station will be fully operational after the Green and Red lines are separated. At that time, the station will be connected to the "Nizami" station with a separate road route.
A monument named "Jafar Jabbarly and his heroes" made of gypsum is installed in the convergence corridor.  In the corridors are carpets of red marble in accordance with national architectural traditions.
A piece from Fikrat Amirov’s “Azerbaijan capriccio” is played on the trains arriving at the station.
